The park space around the Faculty of Mathmatics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava offers a perfect urban/park landscape for a disc golf course. Elevation changes, tree alleys, multiple natural out of bounds areas, you can have it all. Did we mention that the area used to be an orchard and all the trees typically blossom around the time of the tournament?
BTS Urban Mayday is the first Slovak international tournament in urban/park setting. The environment around the permanent disc golf course at Comenius University allows for both short and long difficult 18 technical holes with length over 2000 meters and par 61 in a nice urban setup.

ACCOMMODATION >>
Bratislava offers a full scale of accommodation options. The tournament site is easily reachable by public transport so the players without a car still have all options for accommodation open. We do not have a tournament hotel but we recommend you to book one of the following options (these are places with which we have a good experience from the past). We hope everybody will find something for her- or himself.

INSITUTE FOR BANKING EDUCATION OF THE NATIONAL BANK
(Reservation through booking.com)
WTF? Don't worry, no lectures are mandatory during the weekend. Dirty cheap, clean and safe, very close to the place where we live. 15 minutes car ride to the tournament site, possible shared ride, direct bus stop only 5 minutes away. Superb pub just behind the corner. PROS: dirty cheap, easy parking, CONS: far from the course and city center.
Botel=hotel on a boat. Marina is conveniently located only 3 tram stops from the tournament site. A unique opportunity to spend the weekend right on Danube. PROS: close to the course and city center, CONS: parking is tricky, not suitable for nausea positive.
A really weird place close to the main train station. Is it owned by a sect? Who knows but it is one of the craziest places you can ever stay. Inverted pyramid shaped bed? PROS: close to train station, very interesting place to stay, CONS: no public transport access to the course, you need a car.
HOSTELS
Finally there is the usual pack of cheap hostels in or close to the city center. PROS: close to the city center, easy access to public transport to the tournament site, cheap, CONS: could be loud and wild at night, tough parking
Right in the city center, cheap, many small rooms
HOSTEL POSSONIUM
Close to train station and next door to the best crepes place in the Universe)
Medium and Luxury
Built in 1974 and recently renovated. A strange place in the middle of the blocks of flats. Rather cheap for the level of accommodation.
PROS: price, services, parking, CONS: you need a car.
A buissness hotel right under the Bratislava castle. Perfect access to the center of the city, only 3 tram stops from the tournament site. PROS: distance to the course, services. CONS: not so convenient with a car.
A pompous hotel right in the historical center. Bill Clinton, Rolling Stones, Massive Attack? They all stayed here. Only 5 stops by tram to the tournament. PROS: services, proximity to the city center, good value for the price, CONS: not for budget constrained players.
According to Expedia this was the best value hotel in the world in 2014. A butique hotel, excellent services, a perfect location in the city center. Only 5 stops by tram to the tournament. Splurge yourself. PROS: one of the best hotels in the world, CONS: price.

Breakfast
Most of the accommodation places offer breakfast for extra fee. All the grocery stores are opened during the whole weekend for self-catering is very accessible. Many small cafes in the city center serve breakfast as well, but none of them is around the tournament site.
Lunch
Lunch will be served on Saturday-Sunday in FreeFood restaurant directly at the course. Restaurant Drag directly at the course will serve a la carte lunch on Friday.
Dinner
Our favorite restaurant Drag (offering delicious asparagus soup, variety of pasta, vegetarian, and meat dishes and pizza) is located right next to the course. Also Restaurant Koliba within a short walking distance of the course offers traditional Slovak meals as bryndzové halušky for a very good price. The city center offers a wide variety of dinner options, just ask any of the organizers.
AIR & TRAIN TRAVEL >>
Foreign players can fly to Bratislava (BTS) airport that serves mostly but not only low-cost airlines (e.g. Ryanair: Dublin, London-Stansted, Bergamo, Birmingham, Liverpool, Luton, Rome, Brussels, Gerona, Bristol, Edinburgh, and also Norwegian Air Shuttle from Oslo and Czech Airlines from Prague).
Alternatively, the players may fly to Vienna (VIE) airport served by all major airlnes. There are regular comfortable buses directly from the airport to Bratislava leaving approximately every 30 minutes. The price of an one-way ticket is 5-6 Euro and the ride takes 45-60 minutes. The buses stop directly in front of the arrival terminal at the VIE airport, check the bus info screens in the arrival hall of the airport and follow the signs to the bus stop.
