XXL BTS Urban MaydayLayout

Note that due to a new construction in the course area there may be some changes to the layout that will be announced at latest on April 26, 2020.

The course layout truly deserves the name "XXL extension". It has 18 holes, par 61. Three par 5 holes, two par 4 holes (we have decreased par of two holes this year without changing their layout), and total length of 2052 meters of technical holes, including two island holes. Natural out of bound areas are present at all holes. More than half of the holes have moderate elevation changes.

See the 2018 map for your reference. The map will be updated by April 24, 2020 to reflect eventual changes for 2020 event.

COURSE DESCRIPTION (2018) >>

Mandatories

Only two holes have double/triple mandatory.

  • On Hole #1 (with a triple mandatory - double mando with a vertical restriction), drop zone is the permanent course teepad #2.

  • On Hole #15 there is drop zone in the middle between the mandatories.

There is one safety single mandatory.

  • On Hole #12, the disc must pass it on the right

Out of bounds

Out of bounds areas are in play at almost every hole.

  • All paved surfaces (roads, sidewalks) are out of bounds (with the exception of one crossing road on Hole #7) and also each contact with the building (except the small structures on Holes #15, #16, #18).

  • There are additional out of bounds areas: behind any fence, behind certain roads and sidewalks, and the concrete surfaces on Holes #13, #14, #15.

  • Discs behind the fences of the meteorological station and of the secondary school are considered lost  and maybe recovered only wth the help of the staff between or after the rounds.

WARNING >>

This is an urban disc golf course and thus players will get during the play close to buildings, cars, and pedestrians. Players are individually responsible for any damage they will cause during the duration of the tournament. At all holes special attention needs to be paid to pedestrians and players need to wait until they will clear of the throw target area. If a player plans to throw across a street or road a spotter is necessary to indicate that the area is clear from cars and pedestrians.

Islands
Hole #3: The  basket on the island will be repositioned for each round. Two drop zones for those who miss it. No penalties from the drop zones.

Hole #8: First, lay up and then putt on the elevated island downhill (oxymoron). Or go for it and if you miss, putt from the drop zone. No penalties from the drop zone.
